Deciding if counseling is right for you is a personal choice. You may have been encouraged to handle problems yourself and to view counseling as a sign of weakness, however, if you are exhausted from enduring the same struggles, and your efforts have failed to bring change, you may want to consider counseling.
There are many aspects of life beyond our control, but we can change ourselves, and find peace regardless of external circumstances.
Telehealth
Telehealth / teletherapy is when clients participate in online video counseling. Teletherapy can benefit those with busy schedules and limited time due to busy schedules. It allows clients to be in the comfort of their own homes while taking steps to improve their lives. We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform service for online video sessions.
Group therapy offers a supportive environment for individuals facing similar challenges. Participating in group sessions allows members to express themselves in a safe and nurturing setting, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support. In these small groups, individuals develop skills to apply in their daily lives.
Walk & Talk Therapy
Walk & Talk Therapy involves the client and counselor meeting at a pre-determined location to conduct their session while walking, rather than sitting in an office. This approach can help clients feel more relaxed and open up more freely, as the act of walking can reduce the intensity of direct eye contact and create a more comfortable environment for discussion.
