Child & Adolescent Therapy

Is your child struggling?

Anxiety, ADHD, and other childhood issues can have a severe impact on a child's learning, social / emotional development, and self-esteem. When children are unable to regulate their emotions or control their behaviors, school and family life suffer.

Family life becomes more stressful and relationships are put to the test as the child's needs become greater. Parents often feel overwhelmed and helpless; they don't know where to turn as they run out of ideas for how to help their child.

Without interventions, the cycle will continue, your child will feel defeated and the situation will worsen. The good news is that relationships can be restored, your child's self-esteem and behaviors at home and school can improve, and your child will feel confident and successful.

It takes a village

I work with children to determine the underlying issues causing their behaviors and develop interventions and strategies to help each child learn new coping skills and ways to manage their emotions.

Rebuild & restore relationships

I partner with parents to offer support, alternative parenting strategies, and coaching to restore and rebuild damaged relationships within the family.

I can help your child learn positive coping strategies while gaining the confidence and maturity to handle the ups and downs of adolescence as they prepare to become a well-rounded adult.

504 Consultation services

When a child has issues at school, parents sometimes feel frustrated and unsupported, as if they are going up against "the system." My experience working in a school setting allows me the opportunity to understand the educational system. This provides a unique perspective to parents and offers additional support, which helps to ensure continuity of care and success of your child. Recommendations may include proposed additions /changes to a child’s 504 or intervention plan, strategies to use at home to support your child, and additional resources or referrals for adjunct services.
